The Hawarden Players brought another of their audience pleasing original pantomimes to the stage in January. In their 2016 show, ‘Ice Queen’, Isolde has a wicked rule over the snowy kingdom of Frostovia and all its inhabitants. After they are accidentally transported to the land and meet citizens such as Arthur Winterbottom and Mr and Mrs Penguin, it’s up to Dame Victoria Sponge and her apprentice Gertie to save their new friends from the queen’s evil ways, all while keeping their eyes out for the sneaky snowman!
The show brought twists and turns, jokes galore, singing and dancing, and a good helping of audience participation in this panto which started 2016 with a bang!
Performances took place at the Hawarden Institute on 16th 22nd & 23rd January at 7.30pm and a matinee took place on Saturday the 16th January at 3pm.
