Live theatre! You just can’t beat it, the thrill of watching something that you know is totally unique, that can change every night, and usually does!
We at the Hawarden Players are here for your live entertainment needs, whether it’s one of our very popular, and successful, pantomimes or the exciting and vibrant plays that we have been producing now for over almost two decades!
We are also a very social group and we certainly put fun at the top of our priorities every time we meet up be it for rehearsals or just a gathering!
We rehearse at the Hawarden Institute on Tuesdays & Thursdays if you would like to join us in any capacity, but be warned, many people who have started back stage soon give in to the lure of the bright lights!
We hope you enjoy our website, and our productions, any comments you would like to leave will be gratefully received.
Are very interested in joining your group
i am interested in coming along to your open evening
Could you please tell me where the hall is after I come off the Asda roundabout
Thanks
Hi Andrea, thanks for your interest!
Mancot village hall is on Mancot Lane (CH5 2AN)
If you come off the asda roundabout at the Hawarden exit, and head up Gladstone Way.
The road changes to 30mph as you are going past Daleside Nurseries, and you will need to take the left straight after this into Cottage Lane. Follow Cottage Lane to round to the end where you have a junction, where you will need to turn right. The village Hall is along this road, just past the White Bear pub, and opposite the Post Office.
I’ve attached a Google Maps link below, just in case, I’m probably not the best at describing directions!
We look forward to hopefully seeing you on our open evening on the 6th September!

Hi Dan. Well done with the panto. It’s a pity that the falling snow made everybody a bit restless on Friday but I hope everyone got home safely.
I have just sent this email to Denise then found your site so thought I would post this on here as well.
I am doing Aladdin with a fairly new group in Gwernymynydd in two weeks time and we are struggling a bit with some costume pieces and props. Would Hawarden be willing to help us out? We are struggling wth hats and some of yours were wonderful. Also I have bought 2 genie lamps which are plastic and look pretty naff compared to your wonderful lamp.
The panto opens on 14th Feb so time is running short. Would you let me know as soon as you can if you can help us out.
Thank you,
Maureen
Hi
When and where do you meet up now.
Do you accept new people to get involved?
Can you email me any details please.
Thank you
Hi Lee
We usually meet up on Tuesday and Thursday evenings when we are rehearsing for a production and love to see new faces taking part.
Are you able to send us a message through our facebook group and a member of the team will get back to you regarding our plans following the panto
Thanks
Dan
