Farndale Avenue’s ‘Macbeth’ – Performance

The Hawarden Players are proud to present a hilarious comedy The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of ‘Macbeth’. If the recent wet weather has been getting you down, then this show will leave you laughing all the way home! The performance introduces the intrepid ladies of the F.A.H.E.T.G. Dramatic Society, together with daring producer, David, and stage manager Henry.Their production – original in the extreme – of the classic tragedy ‘Macbeth’ should guarantee them a place in the drama finals in Newport, Gwent after 9 months of painstaking rehearsals. However, under the somewhat preoccupied eye of adjudicator Mr George Peach, events conspire to ensure that everything will not be all right on the night…

In true theatre fashion, the superstitious curse of Macbeth has already struck with one of our cast members, Jan. It would seem she took the old famous well-wishing stage term of breaking a part of her body a bit too literally, and ended up leaving a rehearsal with a broken arm! The play, however, must go on, and the production director, Sian Parry, stepped up to the plate to save the day.
